The Lost Keys of Atlantis

The Lost Keys of Atlantis is a race to the end style board game in which the players have to collect 7 keys by racing around the board, and competing with one another in order to get back to the start with all 7 keys. Being a race to the end style game, we incorporated an element of additional competition for another layer of strategy and planning than simply getting lucky with dice rolls and winning as a consequence of luck.

Done in collaboration with Garrett Young and Benjamin Mallonee, the theme of the board and game pieces is the ocean and Atlantis, with the 3D printed game pieces being locks and Merefolk, to reflect 'Atlantian' citizens.

We were tasked as a group with one simple request in mind: Create a race to the end style board game. Not wanting to just put a theme on dice rolls, we decided to incorporate three additional twists on the traditional formula. Players can move in either direction from the start, Players must collect all 7 keys before they can win, and finally, players can engage in battle to steal one another's keys.

Players win when they get all 7 keys back to the starting spot.
