Destined for War

Destined for war is a project that took a lot of iterations and tweaks in order to get to a point where we were satisfied with. I have documentation of all the map changes, the live document with a changelog to show exactly what was adjusted at what point in the development timeline.
The first iteration of the map was way too big, and we prototyped a lot of different sizes when it became clear that was an issue.
We experimented by tweaking the number of total spaces on the board in addition to player movement speeds. Eventually we settled on our final map design, along with a stylized final rulebook for the game.
The final version of the game ended up being the Resource managing PvP game that we enjoyed the most.

The player can create an adventurer character for exploring the map and getting to resource spaces. These spaces can be purchased to gain one of each resource per spot captured.

Once the player is gathering resources each turn, they will be able to further explore the map and battle each other. The players have two ways of winning. They can either defeat the adventurer, or they can choke out their resources and conquer their capital.
